187: Top 5 Quotes From Walt Disney World Attractions

In every Haunted Mansion stretching room there is at least one person who decides to quote the script along with the Ghost Host. And while that might be, frankly, annoying for the other people in the room, the fact is there are countless lines of dialogue from Disney rides that are fun to say because they are clever and memorable and they are attached to some of our favorite attractions. On this week’s show, we each count down our top five favorite quotes from Walt Disney World attractions, from witty banter in preshows to magical words that make our hearts go pitter-patter.

In another edition of The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, we turn our attention to the interior decor inside table service restaurants. Plus, we play another round of “Higher or Lower,” in which we try to guess closest to the correct Disney-related number. Play along now!

181: Flops and Failures – 8 WDW Attractions That Underwhelmed

Not every idea is gold. On this week’s show we look back at eight specific ideas implemented at Walt Disney World that had less-than-stellar results. In a round of Armchair Imagineering, we present our ideas for what Disney might be planning in the former location of River Country, where some construction seems to be taking place. Plus, we introduce a new Disney hashtag (#DisneyfyAMovie) and discuss the latest price increases for WDW Resort hotel guests. Come join the conversation!

An entire episode about pre-shows? Wait a minute . . . I love that idea!

This week we have an open discussion about attraction pre-shows at Walt Disney World by answering the question, “What qualities do the best pre-shows possess?” We visit rides like Tower of Terror and Soarin’ and characters including Dr. Marsh and Sergeant C4703BK2704-90210, and we give our own take on what makes a pre-show great, which WDW attractions have the best and worst pre-shows, and why pre-shows are important.

Also on this week’s show: Matt and Derek review their recent lunch at Tiffins, we share our thoughts on Cars 3 and the latest Pirates film, and we play “What’s the Score?” in which we try to guess the movie based on the names of individual tracks in that movie’s original score. Join us for a virtual ride-through and a passionate discussion about what makes Pirates of the Caribbean so iconic and magical, 50 years after its debut.

As our Munch Madness tournament reaches its halfway point, this week we reveal which restaurants made the Edible Eight. Once you’ve listened, be sure to vote for your favorites on our Munch Madness page, and then tune in next week to see which eateries will move on to the Flavorful Four.
