  • The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (We share our picks for the best and worst walk-up windows in WDW.)
  • 11-Second Rants
  • And MORE!

129: Pirates of the Caribbean – Celebrating 50 Years

On March 18, 1967, Pirates of the Caribbean opened in Disneyland and instantly changed the game for theme park attractions, forever affecting how all future attractions would be measured. This week we honor the legendary ride’s 50th anniversary by diving deep into its conception by Walt and a team of trusted Imagineers, the attraction’s transformation throughout the years, our favorite scenes and characters, and the legacy the ride has built over the last five decades. Join us for a virtual ride-through and a passionate discussion about what makes Pirates of the Caribbean so iconic and magical, 50 years after its debut.

As our Munch Madness tournament reaches its halfway point, this week we reveal which restaurants made the Edible Eight. Once you’ve listened, be sure to vote for your favorites on our Munch Madness page, and then tune in next week to see which eateries will move on to the Flavorful Four.

Also on this week’s show, we let off steam in a round of 11-Second Rants. Plus, we try to guess where the other Chatters are hiding in the game, “Where in WDW Am I?” There’s plenty of fun (and a bit of treachery) on this week’s show, so listen up, me ‘earties. Yo ho!

114: Fantasy Draft – Attraction Wait Times

If on any given Saturday you had to guess which attractions would have the longest wait times, which rides or meet-and-greets would you list? That’s our challenge this week as we each “draft” ten picks and create our teams of attractions, hoping to have the highest combined wait time based on actual numbers this past Saturday, November 26. Play along! You just might be surprised who comes away the victor.

Also on this week’s show, Derek gives a brief review of Moana and shares about his Walt Disney World audition experience, Jeremy breaks down “The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration” on ABC, and we go a few rounds of 11-Second Rants. All that and more awaits you on our latest episode!

69: Quick-Service Restaurants at Magic Kingdom

On The Mad Chatters Podcast, food is always one of our favorite topics. And yet, in our regular segment “Eating Around the World,” we’ve somehow left out the quick-service restaurants of Walt Disney World. This week we remedy that as we take a tour of the quick-service eateries in Magic Kingdom. We read the menus of every counter-service location and share our opinions, tips, and must-dos.

Keeping with the food theme, Matthew reviews Captain’s Grille at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and in “11-Second Rants,” we spout off our food- and restaurant-related pet peeves at the parks. All that and more awaits you on the latest episode of The Mad Chatters Podcast!

This week we speak to photographer Mark Willard (@MarkWillard85 and @MWillardPhotos) about his favorite spots for taking pictures and the techniques he uses to get that perfect snapshot. After grilling him for tips, we see where he stands on certain Disney World attractions, resorts, and more in the game Frame/Touch Up/Delete.

In a special photography-themed round of My Disney Experience, the Chatters share some of our favorite picture-related moments from our Disney vacations. Plus, we spout off a few 11-Second Rants regarding our biggest pet peeves when it comes to cameras at the parks.
