189: Fun Facts and Easter Eggs at Walt Disney World

“Did you know?” Those three words, when overheard at Walt Disney World, always pull us in. We either want to learn something new, or we want to be able to debunk whatever kind of nonsense we’re about to hear. While many Disney fans have heard just about every “fun fact” there is to know about the Vacation Kingdom of the World, some facts and hidden Easter eggs really are “fun,” especially when you discover them for the first time. For this week’s show, we’ve each compiled a list of our favorite facts and tidbits we’ve heard over the years about Walt Disney World, including details to look for, backstories of attractions, and much more.

In the segment “Behind the Magic,” we put the spotlight on the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island. Plus, Derek reviews his dinner at Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante in Disney Springs, we discuss some tough losses for WDW fans, and much more. Tune in!

188: Let’s Talk About Marvel

Last week marked the tenth anniversary of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which kicked off with the release of Iron Man in 2008. With Avengers: Infinity War currently smashing records at the box office, and with Disney constantly adding more Marvel offerings to both the big screen and the parks, we thought it was the perfect time to do a deep dive into this huge fictional world. We’ve brought on special guest and friend of the show Teri Deel to talk all things Marvel with us, from its history with Disney, to our favorite moments in the movies, to the attractions we’re looking forward to at the parks. Come nerd out with us!

Also on this week’s show, we provide our own ideas for how Disney can bring Marvel to Walt Disney World in a big way. Plus, we chat about the cast recording of Frozen: The Broadway Musical, give a few Magic Kingdom updates, and much more!

187: Top 5 Quotes From Walt Disney World Attractions

In every Haunted Mansion stretching room there is at least one person who decides to quote the script along with the Ghost Host. And while that might be, frankly, annoying for the other people in the room, the fact is there are countless lines of dialogue from Disney rides that are fun to say because they are clever and memorable and they are attached to some of our favorite attractions. On this week’s show, we each count down our top five favorite quotes from Walt Disney World attractions, from witty banter in preshows to magical words that make our hearts go pitter-patter.

In another edition of The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, we turn our attention to the interior decor inside table service restaurants. Plus, we play another round of “Higher or Lower,” in which we try to guess closest to the correct Disney-related number. Play along now!
