256: It’s Time for an Upgrade – 10 WDW Experiences We’d Love to See Updated or Enhanced

In light of the recent news that Jungle Cruise is about to be enhanced, we thought we’d take this opportunity to highlight other attractions and experiences at Walt Disney World that we think could use some TLC. From stale rides to dated resorts to embarrassing uses of technology, we each talk about ten areas we’d most love to see get updates and enhancements (1:02:33).

In this week’s Countdown to the 50th, we share ten facts about Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, one of three resort hotels that opened with Magic Kingdom in 1971 (0:00:50). Plus, we test our Muppets and Disney Channel knowledge in a new game (0:30:10), AND we bring back the segment Mad Chatter Jeopardy, in which we respond to dumb answers by providing even dumber questions (0:57:18). Come join the fun!

233: WDW Resort Hotels – History, Theming, and More

More than 20 resort hotels sit on Walt Disney World property, and in typical Disney fashion, each resort has its own unique theme, executed with style and incredible attention to detail. On this week’s show, we take a closer look at the three hotels that have been part of Walt Disney World since the Magic Kingdom opened in 1971, and then we work our way through the many more that have opened their doors in the years since, all the way to the nearly completed resort: Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge. Join us as we discuss the unique theming at each hotel, how Disney hotels have evolved over the years, and much more!

In another edition of “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly,” we grade the best and worst hotel entrance signs on property. Plus, we play “Cast That Celebrity” by assigning random actors and actresses the Disney roles we think they would be best at playing on potential reboots or remakes for Disney Plus. Come join the fun!

156: Dining at Walt Disney World’s Monorail Resorts

All aboard the Walt Disney World monorail, your highway in the sky and your direct access to the ten delicious table-service restaurants at the three deluxe resorts near Magic Kingdom. On this week’s show, we take a grand circle tour around the Seven Seas Lagoon in order to highlight the sit-down offerings at Disney’s Contemporary, Polynesian Village, and Grand Floridian Resorts, including Chef Mickey’s, Kona Cafe, Citricos, and Victoria & Albert’s. Join us as we read the menus and take a closer look at what these dining locations have to offer.

In another Mad Chatter game, we try to guess the Disney Legend based on one-word clues. Plus, we do some Armchair Imagineering by providing our own ideas for how the Walt Disney World parks can emulate Cars Land’s Haul-O-Ween takeover and get into the Halloween spirit. Come hungry and come often!

132: 10 Times Disney Made Us Fall in Love With Polynesia

Aloha! Welcome to our tropical hideaway. We invite you to join us as we look back at Disney’s vibrant history with the Polynesian culture. From 1937’s “Hawaiian Holiday” to last year’s “Moana” (and every Dole Whip in between), we span the decades in order to present our list of ten Polynesian inspirations The Walt Disney Company has brought us.

An episode about Polynesia would not be complete without a closer look at one of Walt Disney World’s most popular restaurants: ‘Ohana. In this week’s “Eating Around the World,” we give a full review of our favorite restaurant on property. Plus, we discuss the big security changes at Magic Kingdom, present the Munch Madness champion, and more!
